These early recordings were made in the Palm Desert area of California in 1990. The original demo tape was released in 1991 before the band becomes just "KYUSS".

Tracks A1, A2, A4, A5, B2 and B3 would later be re-recorded and released on the band's debut album "Wretch". A1 and A2 were renamed "Beginning of What's About to Happen" and "HWY 74".
Track A3 would later be re-recorded for "Blues for the Red Sun".
Track B1 remains unreleased apart from this demo.
